New trailer graphics

I picked up our trailer yesterday with new graphics provided by Kevin Fleming of Factory Effex and printed by Eddie Kloiber of DC Auto Wraps.  The outside looks great, but the inside is still a work in progress.  I spent the better part of the afternoon scrubbing the floors, cabinets and benches (and that was just in the lounge).  The semi departs for A1 on Wednesday, so tomorrow is going to be a busy day!

Welcome to a brand new year.  Don't let another pass you by without doing whatever it is that makes you happy.  Time for change.

Below are the team posters for this coming season. Thank you to Kevin Fleming and Scott Gilly from Factory FX for their time and effort in making everything come to fruition. Let me know what you think by commenting on this post. RC

Closing In

I can't believe the off-season is almost over! Only ten days until the first race of the new season. The semi is currently getting wrapped, the truck is almost finished getting painted, the pit shirts are being sewn and the ink is hitting the new autograph posters. Our bikes are awesome this season and I feel confident that we will have a very good 2008.

Bob Kiniry is racing West Lites for us, while Kyle Partridge will hold up the team colors on East Coast. Both of these kids are fast and I am looking for them to show us podiums this Supercross season.

Back home in AZ it doesn't feel much like XMAS. The weather has been ideal for my riding and training and I am honestly much more prepared than last year. I am most happy to be on the best bike (Honda) with the best suspension (MB1) and a very capable team of mechanics/personnel behind me.

Hope to see everyone at the races this year.

Equivocal

Last week I was in Austin, TX getting my blood/piss/spit work done. The results are in and it turns out the reason I sucked so bad this could be as a result of the fact that I have had Epstein Barr for probably quite some time. Right now, the virus is still lingering but seems to be getting better. I have been feeling very tired for the last, well, two years or so and this may have something to do with it. There are a few other "issues" that I have as well, but I am just glad that I have a handle on this now and hope to be feeling better sometime soon.

To treat the EBV, I am doing IV's twice a week for the next few weeks. I am also slowing down the training and just doing some light stuff. Oh well, this gives me some time to catch up on yard work and work on Team Solitaire stuff for a while.

I go back to Austin soon for a follow up visit to see how things are coming around. I hope to be back on the bike soon and get busy preparing for Anaheim.

Testing

I am preparing for a trip to Austin for the majority of this week. I am actually leaving today, driving to El Paso, TX first, to stay the night with my friend and long-time supporter Steve Fox of HoyFox.com. I am also trading in my 2006 Toyota Tundra for a new vehicle while I am there.

First thing Monday morning I will fly to Austin, Texas to begin testing with my trainer Seiji (Say-Gee) Ishii and my health consultant TJ Diaz. I have no idea what they have in store, but I am looking forward to anything that may help to improve my health, conditioning and ultimately results.

I will keep everyone posted on how this week is going.

Team meeting

I had a meeting today with the GM of a Honda dealer in Phoenix, AZ. I am in the process of trying to implement a new type of program that would have Team Solitaire/MB1 Racing represent a new dealership in each market of the 2008 series. It is going to be a lot of work making this program happen, but I think this type of sponsorship may represent the future of our sport. Dealerships are the backbone of this industry, and ultimately what makes this whole deal work. I am not looking forward to the logistics of putting something like this in motion, but I am interested to see how it all works out.

Talking to myself

So I am talking to myself now. I thought this didn't happen until I was much, much older. Oh well, had to start sometime.
